These earrings are heavily discounted due to tarnishing on the wire guards — the small piece that connects the earring to the hook that goes through the earlobe. These are older wire guards; I now use a different, higher-quality style. The ear hooks themselves are not tarnished, and the tarnishing should not affect wearability.
